About Me
I’m Mike Lara, a photographer based in Los Angeles. My passion for photography started back in 2010 with a small Canon point-and-shoot, and over the years it’s grown into a career that allows me to capture everything from portraits and lifestyle sessions to fast-paced sports and wildlife.
In 2016, I picked up my a Canon Rebel T6 and instantly knew photography would play a big role in my life. Since then, I’ve worked my way through different cameras and lenses, and today I shoot with a Sony A7IV and A7C R, paired with a full range of professional G Master and Tamron lenses. This gear gives me the flexibility to cover a wide spectrum of work — whether it’s close-up portraits with the 50mm GM, sideline action with the 100-400mm GM, or cinematic storytelling with wide angles.
Since 2019, I’ve been working professionally with clients across portraits, events, and creative projects. My goal has always been the same: to deliver images that feel authentic and timeless.
Photography has taken me from documenting street life in LA to covering major events like the Grand Prix in Long Beach — and I’m just getting started...
